Yesterday A.M. and I went to the second training session at the Humane Society to become volunteer dog walkers. J. is unenthused about getting another dog right now, and I have a need for a little more doggie love in my life and a lot more pet love to give. So I'm going to do some
volunteer puppy petting and dog walking. Win-win, I suppose, if a puppy of my very own is out of the question.
Well, in the process of volunteering for that, I came across a flyer for the Animal Festival 2007. Sounds like lots of fun. And there is a Wag-n-Walkathon they need walkers for to raise money for our local Humane Society. The brochure says that this walk "takes less than one hour to complete." So that probably means it's about a third of the length of my average daily walk. Very doable.
No pressure, no hard sale here, but if anyone out there would like to sponsor me as a walker, I would love to accept your donation. There's even a handy-dandy webpage set up just for me for easier donating. My Rosie came from this Humane Society, so it has a special place in my heart.
