Thrift store buys

Thursday while J.'s friend S. was over, I got to run some errands which included a stop at my favorite store - Goodwill. This time I picked up a couple of frames. This summer I set about trying to frame some of the casual shots I'd taken of various family members, but when I got them up on the wall, I discovered I hated the way the frames looked together. I left everything up temporarily since nothing looks quite as crappy as nail holes, and decided to keep an eye out for better frames. Specifically maroon/burgundy frames as that would go best with the dark cherry-ish color of our bedroom furniture. It's been slow going, but I have located a few better ones and have been slowly replacing what's up now.
Today after confession I went to the Holy Childhood thrift store and found:
Boots for Max $2
Some amber earring with gold trim (most amber jewelry has silver trim which is nice, but I have a piece of amber with gold trim on a gold chain and have been looking for forever for earrings to match) $2
Dorothy Sayers mystery (not sure if I have this one or not, but I liked the cover; it matches the one I have for Busman's Honeymoon. I'd get the whole series with these covers if they were readily available.) $.25
Pair of navy deck shoes for me $.50
Tape of New England Christmas music $.50
The total was $3.45. I love the thrifts!!!
