Last day for the old couch and chair

After constant, though not continuous, kvetching that our This End Up living room furniture was an "embarassment" and made J. "ashamed," due to visible and hard to remove dog hair on the dark blue cushions, we are making a change.  J. is paying for half this change with his own allowance, since it was his initiative, and I could have put up with our sturdy-but-not-that-attractive, only eight-year-old furniture at least until Max is out of the spill-the-kool-aid phase. 

Tomorrow Art Van is delivering a sand-colored couch and loveseat to our humble home.  This will really change the look of our living room.  Should be interesting.  The tan dog hair shouldn't show up that well on sand.  I can only pray that the stain guarding we purchased works and endeavor to keep any ink substances out of Max's hands and away from the new furniture.
