The Dessen book is out this week!!  YAY!  I feel like I've been waiting forever.  And the Seidel book is next - out in May.  Her website just got updated too.   There are some guaranteed good reads ahead of me, I can feel it.

Now I just need to know when the third season of Dog Whisperer is coming out on DVD.

I can't decide if I am going to buy the Seidel book in hardcover. I liked her last one but the women's fiction genre is not usually my cup of chai.

I have this one Dessen book, This Lullaby, that I have not been able to get into, but I keep hearing great things about her.

I loved Delicious (the version that I read was not the final version). I could be wrong, of course, but I think that it may have an even broader appeal to readers than Private Arrangements did.

I still haven't read The Spymaster's Lady, so I have to get to that one soon! And I've never tried Meg Cabot. What's your favorite of hers?

Meg Cabot is sort of a comfort read for me, Janine. Something about her style makes me feel all nice and cozy. And entertained. I love her YA stuff - I've written reviews for The Princess Diaries series and All American Girl for AAR and Pants on Fire here. I also like some or most of her adult stuff. It's not deep writing, but I just really enjoy her voice and her humor. I guess I'd recommend starting with The Princess Diaries if YA doesn't turn you off. Mia Thermopolis has a very unique and humorous voice, and there's a lot to enjoy there if you care for it (the earlier books are stronger than the later ones, though the series is coming back a bit as it comes to a close).

I love Sarah Dessen, but think This Lullaby is pretty representative of her style and appeal. I also loved Keeping the Moon and Just Listen. And the one about the metal artist. I'm blanking on the title just now.
