Today was the first official day of preschool for Max. Last Thursday was the open house - today was the real thing.
Max did great. It was amazing to see how much more relaxed he was today as opposed to last week. As soon as we broke out the purple play dough we made together last night, he was fine. I had to stay the whole time because I promised I would, but I knew 10 minutes in that he would have been fine. He played with play dough, fingerpainted with shaving cream, had a snack, heard a story, drew with sidewalk chalk, chased bubbles, sang a song, and generally had a really nice time. He was natural and relaxed with both of his teachers and was fine with the 6 other kids as well. It was a good day for him. He took his superduper new Elmo bag that A.M. got him ("It was so nice of her," he said. yesterday when she gave it to him) and wore his new red coat in the cool fall air.
I took about 57 pictures - of Max, all the kids, the room, the outdoors, everything. Look at me, turning into a school mom - making play dough, documenting every 1st school milestone.
